==Description ==
A tall, sprawling tree which is particularly rare to come by.
==Notes==
* Oaks can take months to reach old age, but are often used for ornamental purposes rather than utility.

* Items made from oak take 20% less [[damage]] during use and receive a 25% bonus to resilience against bash damage.

* [[Charcoal pile]]s made out of oak produce more [[charcoal]].

* [[Acorns]] may be harvested from oak trees during the appropriate [[season]]

* Oak trees are known to kill other trees and bushes around them due to their thick foliage blocking sunlight to the lower forest floor. This kill zone is 1 tile at mature and 2 tiles at old (see illustration below). Planted hedges will not be killed by oak trees. The dying tree will only be killed when the oak moves to the next age level that induces the kill. Until that time, it will continue to grow and age as normal.
