== Usage ==
* Shafts are mainly used in the creation of [[carpentry]] and [[smithing]] items.

* A shaft can be used as an elementary weapon, but in real combat, it is not advisable. It is, however, excellent for training the fighting skill such as with a [[practice doll]].

== Notes ==
* When creating a shaft, the quality of the [[Carving knife]] determines the success rate of the shaft's creation. The quality of the log from which the shaft is carved determines the shaft's final quality level.
* When wielded, shafts are considered two-handed weapons, so both hands must be free in order to wield one.
* Shafts may also be created by using a [[Carving knife]] or [[Crude knife]] on a foraged [[branch]].
* Low quality shafts can be foraged from [[Flotsam]] [[Resource nodes]].
