Description
Some reed plants. It has very strong fibres.
Notes
- Reed plants can be gathered from natural reed tiles, which uses gardening skill. They can be gathered using shovel, sickle or scythe. Reed plants can also be harvested from a reed field, which uses farming skill. No tool is required to harvest.
- Reed plants can be foraged from Seaweed Resource nodes, and botanized from Swampy puddles, Wild grasses and Dune grasses.
- Reed plants are crushed to produce reed fibre, which then can be used to create papyrus sheets with a press. Crushing 0.5kg of reed plants will produce 0.1kg reed fibre.
- Reed plants are used to create reed pens.
- Reed plants are used to create thatch for a Thatched roof and/or to plant grass.
- Reed Plants are used as an ingredient to make Healing covers.
Method
Reed tiles
Reed plants can be gathered from medium, long and wild natural reed tiles. Note that medium reed produces 1 plant, tall produces 2 plants and wild produces 3 plants. The quality of the harvest is random. Tools aside from the sickle and scythe, however, do limit harvest quality to 20.

Reed can be planted using reed seeds, which are picked from reed plants. Picking seeds will destroy the plant. No tool is required to harvest reed fields. The amount and quality of the harvest depends on the farming skill. Unlike other farm fields, reeds need to be sown underwater. Ideal depth is 3 dirts higher than maximum shovel depth.
