Description

Kindling is chopped wood used in firemaking to light fires and other fire sources.

Creation

• Kindling can be made from a log or wood scrap using a carving knife, saw, or axe.
• The maximum quality of the finished kindling is determined by the quality of the log or wood scrap used.
• Creating kindling gives body strength and body stamina, in addition to the skill of the tool being used.

Usage

• Used to light campfires, stone ovens, and forges.
• To light a fire source, activate a steel and flint while carrying kindling, right-click the fire source, and select Light.
• Two kindling are used in the creation of each charcoal pile.

Notes

• Kindling quality affects the heating speed of campfires.
• Kindling quality does not affect heating speed for ovens or forges, since their own quality determines heating speed instead.
