Description
An open fireplace is a decorative light source that provides light and warmth to nearby players.
Creation
- Requires 35 masonry to create.
Usage
- Light with steel and flint while carrying kindling in the inventory.
- When on deed, the fireplace will snuff during the day and relight at night. This occurs automatically after being lit once.
- In underground dwellings, fireplaces remain lit around the clock.
- The open fireplace is not a container or cooker, but does provide light.
- Items can be placed on top of the open fireplace.
- The open fireplace can be quickly snuffed by placing a snowball on it, which will melt and extinguish the fire.
- No fuel is required other than the initial kindling.
- Combustible items can be burned in a fireplace as a means of disposal and will temporarily increase the light provided.
Notes
- Can only be loaded by a wagon.
- The quality of the open fireplace does not increase the brightness of the light.
