Description
Ash is a coal-making and natural substances item acquired from burnt out campfires, forges, ovens, kilns, smelters, or charcoal piles. It is most often used as a component in the creation of lye.
Usage
- Used with water to create lye.
- Ash can be gathered from a forge, oven, kiln, or smelter by activating a shovel, right-clicking the recently used burning vessel, and selecting Clean.
- Gathering ash from a burning vessel uses the firemaking skill.
- The fire must be snuffed before the item can be cleaned and ash collected.
Notes
- Adding logs to campfires will not increase the amount of ash created. Multiple fires are suggested for bulk ash generation.
- At the 30-minute mark of a burn, enough material will have been consumed to create a collectable amount of ash.
- The QL of ash is capped by the QL of the item being cleaned.
- Lower QL ash may still be produced due to RNG.
- Ash can be foraged from rubble resource nodes.
